Mother of three, and CEO and Founder of {reprograma}, Mariel Reyes Milk is a social entrepreneur who works to bring more diversity to Brazil’s IT area. Founded in 2016, the non-profit’s mission is to bridge the gender gap and bring more diversity to Brazil’s technology sector through education, with a focus on women and girls in vulnerable situations – especially black and transgender women.
Before becoming a social entrepreneur, Mariel worked at the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation for 10 years, on social and environmental development projects in Latin America and Asia. She is Peruvian-American and has a BSc in Economics from Santa Clara University, and an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
