Deidré Denise Matthee: From Apartheid to Art: It’s a Long Story

Sunday, 16th November at 5pm CET

Deidré Denise Matthee, hunter-gatherer of stories and memories, takes us on a journey across continents and time.
From her childhood in apartheid South Africa to her life as an expatriate artist in Portugal and Romania, she weaves personal memories with broader cultural narratives.
Through collage, poetry, and expressive arts, Deidré reveals how art becomes a vessel for history, identity, and the stories that shape us all.
